ISMA Eropah ("we", "us", or "our") is an organisation focused on empowering Malaysian students in Europe through da'wah, education, and social services. This website and ISMA Trivia are operated by ISMA Eropah.

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect:

• Account information — when you create an ISMA Trivia account using a username and password or sign in with Google (via Supabase Auth).
• Profile information — display name, optional Instagram handle, and avatar or profile picture you choose to upload or select.
• Quiz activity — answers, scores, quiz progress, drafts, and submission timestamps stored so you can resume quizzes and appear on the leaderboard.
• Local browser data — quiz progress may also be stored in your browser's local storage to support resume functionality on your device.
• Form submissions — if you apply to join our team or contribute content, we collect the details you submit (such as name, email, and message content).
• Technical data — basic usage analytics (via Vercel Analytics), browser type, device information, and similar technical logs generated when you visit the site.

We use collected information to:

• Provide and operate the website and ISMA Trivia.
• Create and manage user accounts and profiles.
• Save quiz progress and display leaderboard rankings.
• Respond to enquiries, applications, and editorial submissions.
• Improve reliability, security, and performance of our services.
• Understand how visitors use the site through aggregated analytics.

Where applicable under GDPR, we process personal data based on: your consent (for example, when you create an account or submit a form), performance of a service you request (running your quiz account), and our legitimate interests in operating and improving a community platform for students.

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site, including:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting for accounts, profiles, quiz results, and drafts.
• Google — if you choose Google sign-in, Google processes your sign-in according to its own privacy policy.
• Vercel — website hosting and analytics.

Leaderboard data (display name, avatar, score, and rank) is shown publicly to other users of ISMA Trivia.

We keep account and quiz data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. We may retain certain records for longer where required for security, dispute resolution, or legal compliance. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to withdraw consent where processing is consent-based. To exercise these rights, email ismaeropah@gmail.com.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including secure authentication and database access controls. No online service can guarantee absolute security.

Our services are intended for students and young adults. If you are under the age required to consent to online services in your country, please use our services only with permission from a parent or guardian.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
